HitHorizons API Sector Analyses

In company detail, sales and employee analyses are returned for various sectors.

Sectors:

  • ALL: All companies in the database
  • country-industry: Country and Industry
  • region-industry: Region and Industry
  • region-siccode: Region and SIC Code
  • country-stateProvince: State/Province (within a Country)
  • country: Country
  • region: Region
  • industry: Industry
  • siccode: SIC

Regions used for the sectors:

Countries are grouped in the following regions for the segmentation:

  • eu27 - Countries belonging to the European Union
  • noneu27 - Countries in Europe but not belonging to the European Union
  • asia - Countries in Asia

For country-region assignment, refer to the Country reference.

Values available for each sector:

  • StateProvince, Country, Region, SICCode, Industry: Values for filtering the companies in the sector. Null if not applied.
  • CompanyCount: Number of companies in the sector.
  • Currency: Currency in which the sector analyses are computed (Sales sectors only). Currently only EUR.
  • Median: Median value of sales/employee count in the sector
  • Min: Minimum value of sales/employee count in the sector
  • Max: Maximum value of sales/employee count in the sector
  • Sum: Sum of all values of sales/employee count in the sector
  • CompanySizeRanking: Single number indicating which decile the company belongs to in the sector. 1 is the lowest decile, 10 is the highest decile.
  • CompleteIndustryStatistics: Link to website where the sector is prefiltered and can be further analyzed.
